Just a week ago a Halfords bike representative knocked on our door requesting our permission for his team to film the 'Halfords 2014 Christmas advert' from our house! Almost instantly the set was formed including such like fake snow and various pieces of Christmas decoration. The next day I arrived home to a house full of cameras, directors and a Christmas tree! Not really what you'd expect mid October.
It was a great experience as I did get to meet the people whom work behind the scenes in the media industry, as well as question them on their job roles and how they achieved their current position in the industry today. I constructed an insight into the long process and various aspects that have to be considered such as lighting and camera angles in order to achieve the perfect final cut.
It is now almost a week since the filming was complete and there are still specks of fake snow scattered around the street and the street residents are already getting to grips with the Christmas spirit. Christmas has come early to Chapel!
