One of the highlights of still being a student in full time education is the half term holidays and although this one has only been a week, it has stilled allowed me time to relax and organise myself for the upcoming exams this May/ June.
I like to keep track of what I've been up to over the half term as in most cases I forget and the week seems to fly by.
Monday
Monday was a chilled one for me and the highlight of the day was probably the long lie in. I had a catch up with my best friend (which is always great), went to work, saw my grandparents and chilled with some friends in the evening. At work we catered for 60 people, some of which from Birmingham who commented on my 'Manchester/Derbyshire/Summerset' accent (I wasn't aware the existed but it obviously does).
Tuesday
I love a lazy day and Tuesday was an example of a lazy day. I went to a morning exercise class, followed by a drive to Buxton and stopping in at night watching TV and eating pancakes. Due to it being pancake day homemade pancakes were a must (vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream topping- I recommend).
Wednesday
The first day of lent and I have decided to give up chocolate. Well, not chocolate completely, I will still allow myself to eat chocolate cake or chocolate biscuits or hot chocolate but not chocolate bars or milk tray.. they aren't technically the same thing so its okay. Today was also an educational day as me and Becky took a trip down to Manchester to the museum. I learnt a very important lesson today: Always take a coat into a museum, there is a draft (I did say it was an educational day). It was a great trip out, even better that it was free access into the museum and the only things we had to pay for was the car park and a brew in the café! To finish off a lovely day I went out for a meal with some close friends and spent the evening in great company.
Thursday
Work, watched 'Tangled' for the first time (good family film!) and had a lazy night in.
Friday
Work again! (big money save so the hours are a good thing). Never seen the place so busy so I was relieved when I signed out at 5pm and sat down for the first time all day. Friday night was spent in the pub with some close friends, great start to the weekend!
Saturday
A well deserved sleep in. Friday night was a late one and I was out Saturday night also so sleeping in was essential. Other than this I had a huge clear out of old shoes, clothes and bags that just took up storage (more room for new shoes, clothes and bags).
Sunday
Sunday was another chilled day spent sat in watching TV and drinking coffee. The weather has been a mix of snow/sleet/rain and wind so leaving the house wasn't really an option. Feeling slightly sad at how fast the week off has gone but I have enjoyed it and feel ready to go back to college on Monday.
