Today I signed me and my sister up for the 2015 Race for Life. This will be Kate's first Race for Life event and my second one. We are both excited to raise money for such a brill cause and all donations count.
As seen in my previous post focused on the previous years event, I am very passionate about the charity Cancer Research. Participating in the events provides as sense of self achievement as you are aware of the impact that the money you have raised, will have on someone's life.
Race for Life is a unitising event which brings women together in a swarm of pink clothing, to raise money for charity. The atmosphere is overwhelming with emotions and motivates you as a participant to fulfil your potential in the race.
There are countless events taking place this year around the country varying from 5k to marathons, You can even sign up for the 'pretty muddy events'. Furthermore, individuals don't have to feel pressured into running the course as you can walk, jog or run. Lastly all those who take part receive a medal and a goodie bag reinforcing that sense of achievement.
